Emily J. Switlyk

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Emily attended Florida State University College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor, after receiving her degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida.  Upon graduation Emily started her career as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office in Sarasota.  As a prosecutor, Emily personally handled thousands of criminal cases.  In the private sector Emily focuses her areas of practice strictly to bankruptcy and family law.  Emily is also certified as Family Law Mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida.

Emily is licensed to practice in Florida as well as the U.S. Middle District of Florida.

Emily is active in the Sarasota County Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, The American Bankruptcy Institute, Florida Bar Family Section, Family Court Professional Collaborative, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the American Bar Association.
